Hair rejuvenation
Carboxytherapy, Micro-needling, Mesotherapy, AQ growth factors, Dr CYJ Hair Filler as well as Platelet-Rich Plasma are used to stimulate hair growth. At home use of medical grade hair supplements and products are available. Genetic testing is available for individual and personalized hair products from serums to shampoos, conditioners and supplements. Any underlying medical conditions such as anaemia or low thyroid levels which may be contributing to hair loss need to be excluded. Treatments are effective for both male and female hair loss.
Carboxytherapy
Carboxytherapy, also referred to as Carbon Dioxide Therapy, originated over 80 years ago in the royal spas of France. Patients who regularly bathed in the carbon dioxide-rich thermal waters showed faster wound healing. It was found that this carbon dioxide exposure to the skin improved blood circulation and the skin’s texture and elasticity.
Today, Carboxytherapy is a well-known treatment in medical and cosmetic fields. Carboxytherapy is highly effective in the reduction of alopecia , for the treatment of hair thinning and stimulation of hair growth. Carboxytherapy is also used in the treatment of stretch marks, cellulite, scarring, wrinkles and wound healing.
Whether hair loss is caused by genetics, environmental factors or illness, Carboxytherapy has proven effective in re-stimulating hair follicles and hair growth. Carboxytherapy is a relatively non-invasive treatment which uses small injections of carbon dioxide gas to stimulate hair growth. Carboxytherapy improves oxygenation of the hair follicle and improves blood flow to the scalp.
The rush of oxygenated blood results in the release of growth factors which stimulate the hair follicle increasing collagen and protein synthesis in the hair follicle area.
Carboxytherapy and can be combined with other treatments and results are usually seen in just three months of their first treatment. There is no downtime associated with this treatment. It has been used for decades with no reported side effects and is considered very safe.
In order to achieve the best results a course of 8-10 treatments every 2 weeks is recommended. Thereafter, regular maintenance treatments are required. Results will be dependent on the cause and severity of hair loss however the treatment has been shown to reduce hair shedding, stablise hair loss conditions and increase hair growth.
AQ Advanced Hair Complex+
AQ Hair Complex is a serum containing human growth factors. It is a form of mesotherapy specific for hair growth.

Treatment schedule: I session per week x 5 weeks. 5 weeks months rest. Then repeat the course of 5 Maintenance: Yearly course of 5 sessions . AQ serum is administered through infusion during a Dermapen treatment.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is a regenerative medical treatment involving tiny injections of your own platelets and plasma isolated from a small sample of blood . Platelets contain growth factors that message your body to repair and rejuvenate at a cellular level. When used for hair loss, it stops the hair from miniaturising (getting smaller and thinner), and helps to revive existing hair follicles, reversing hair thinning. However if the hair follicle has already completely died, PRP won’t be able to stimulate hair to grow. PRP usually works best in people who have started noticing hair thinning in the last 2-3 years.
PRP can be injected manually or using a Mesotherapy Multi-Injector device or “Meso-gun “. It is also possible to infuse PRP during a micronnedling treatment such as Dermapen. The meso-gun and microneedling with Dermapen allow for maximum coverage with minimal use of product, meaning we can get the most out of your platelets. We will sometimes use tiny injections of PRP into the skin manually for specific problem areas. Dr Debbie will decide what is most appropriate for you.
The amount of treatments needed to reduce hair loss will vary per person and will depend on the level of hair loss, the individuals hair growth cycle, and other medical factors.
On average, individuals have 3 PRP treatments per year , often in combination with other treatments such as carboxytherapy and AQ hair mesotherapy.
An annual maintenance treatment is recommended.
Results vary per individual but on average you can expect to see results at 4-6 months.
Microneedling with Dermapen
Micro-needling is an effective way to regenerate hair. The principle of creating a controlled injury to the scalp results in release of growth factors with production of new collagen and HA, both required for hair follicle stimulation. The Dermapen 4 has revolutionised medical microneedling and can give over 1800 pricks per second. It’s so fast and the needle so tiny that patients say it just feels like a tickle or a scratchy sensation. No anaesthetic is required for scalp treatments. The micro-injury promotes a natural inflammatory response with a proliferation of growth factors and fibroblasts. These are the cells that produce the collagen for new hair growth . Microneedling has the added benefit of allowing infusion of active ingredients such as mesotherapy solution, AQ and PRP during treatment.
Hair Mesotherapy
1) Traditional mesotherapy is a cocktail of vitamins, peptides, antioxidants and minerals. hair mesotherapy is mostly used for improving hair health and condition. Hair mesotherapy is usually administered with SIT needles or a mesogun.
Treatment schedule: 4-6 sessions every 2 weeks. Then 2-3 sessions every 4 weeks
Maintenance: 1 session every 3-4 months
Omnilux Light therapy
Omnilux is a healing and hair stimulating light therapy . It can be done immediately after other hair treatments and takes 20 minutes.
DR CJY Hair Filler
Hair Filler is a peptide (protein) rich hair injectable product . Hair Filler contains hyaluronic acid and biomimetic peptides, growth factors, enzymes, trace elements, minerals and vitamins. Dr. CYJ Hair Filler is applied through microinjection into the scalp. Treatment schedule is 4 sessions every 2 weeks with maintenance of 1 session every 4 months. Hair Filler is injected with a 4 mm Mesotherapy needle or a Meso-gun.
